Phase III: Estonia

Youth Work for Citizenship and Democratic Participation in Political Transition contexts.

This third phase of the project was held in venues in Tallinn and Nelijarve (Estonia) from the 6th  to the 14th July 2013.

It was implemented with the co-financing of the Council of Europe European Youth Foundation

This course aims at providing youth work tools to complete the training and present the outcomes of participant’s initiatives on promoting active citizenship in their realities.

The main aim:

The course aims at developing youth work strategies fostering inclusive democratic participation in the public sphere.

The concrete objectives were:

To develop youth work competences central to inclusive democratic citizenship
To experience non formal education methodologies and methods fostering participation
To get updated about the youth work experiences and the current developments in participants communitiesTo explore the possibilities and the limits of social media as participation tools
To strengthen youth work cooperation and develop concrete follow up proposals

In July 2013 the second training course (phase 3) brought together all these experiences and further develop from there. The last months of the project, after the course in Estonia, has been to be focused on planning and developing future follow up activities.
